Flora

Flora is a Floral Delivery Application, made with the intent to allow users to customize their Floral Arrangements. The goal of the project was to showcase skills in UI design and Adobe Illustrator, alongside knowledge of UX Research, to create the elements for Flora.

Design Process

Initial Brainstorm

Joanne and I began by brainstorming potential app ideas, focusing on the floral delivery service. Our target demographic consisted of 24-40 year-old working adults residing in Vancouver. We established a clear project timeline to ensure timely completion, setting milestones for ideation, design, development, and testing phases.

Competitor Analysis

To gain insight and inspiration, we conducted a thorough analysis of existing competitors such as UberEats, Leis de Buds, and Bloomex. This research helped us understand market trends, user expectations, and competitive strategies within the floral delivery service industry.

Wireframing and UI Design

Based on our competitor analysis findings, we created initial wireframes to outline the app's basic layouts and functionalities. Using Adobe Illustrator, we developed a distinctive logo, established a comprehensive style guide, and crafted intuitive UI elements to enhance user experience and brand identity.

Final Refinement

Following iterative feedback loops and design revisions, we refined our UI elements to ensure consistency and usability across different devices and platforms. Prior to transferring our designs to Figma for collaborative work, we conducted a meticulous quality check to address any remaining issues and ensure that the final product met our design objectives and user expectations. This structured approach ensured that each phase of our design process contributed to creating a cohesive and user-friendly floral delivery app tailored to the needs of our target audience in Vancouver.
